What We Do
The Med View Services evaluation process is simple. Accessing our easy-to-use, interactive client Web site, participating firms log in and directly enter basic contact information (name, phone, e-mail, zip code) for potential medical malpractice cases into the Med View Services system for evaluation.
Firms have a choice of how to use the system. They can either log into their own administrative page to track case evaluation progress and acknowledge evaluation results online OR they can have their cases entered into the Med View System via a designated legal intake service, such as our preferred partner Legal Intake Professionals.
How It Works
We conduct a verbal assessment regarding the callers medical malpractice claim. Here's the process:
- Receive a potential claim
- Call the claimant
- Gather data during the call
- Prepare a summary of the critical information by applying the 4-step evaluation criteria
- Write a summary of our findings
Our 4-Step Evaluation Process
Med View Services evaluates potential medical malpractice cases using a simple 4-step process. After we receive a potential case, our Medical Review Specialists (RNs) contact the potential new client with the goal of returning an informed medical merit evaluation back to the firm within 24 hours. Four key questions are answered during the call:
- Is there significant or permanent injury or damage?
- Is there an apparent or suggested deviation in the standard of care?
- Is there a direct link between the deviation and the injury or damage?
- Is a further review of medical records recommended?
After every call, our Medical Review Specialists complete a case evaluation form and make a medical merit recommendation of Yes (accept & review) or No (reject & notify) that is emailed to the firm in the form of a case evaluation report. Each evaluation includes a CSV file for easy case management.
